I love the skin (theme?) of my new journal. Not only is it the color of my birthstone, the name of it is "All Mad Here". I couldn't resist.
I don't know why anyone would read the stuff I'm going to write. It's pretty much going to be a rant zone, and it won't be very pretty. I've found that I need a place to unload my brain to keep it from spiraling into death mode. Figuring out that I have generalized anxiety, and learning to accept that, has been helpful in regards to recognizing when my head is plummeting into dark places, so I can take steps to get it together. I wouldn't call it a successful treatment, but I've seen worse days. Processing my thoughts in writing seems to be what I've always done, my first journal being of the paper variety, all the way back in the mid 1980s.
Anyway, I've got plenty to ramble on about, and I will soon enough.

Nowadays I've put all that into hiding (although hmm, if I gave you access you might be able to see it, so I'll have to lock it farther up, because it's not much fun to look at >.>). I figure this is mostly my place to go when I need to rant out loud, and is not necessarily intended for any particular audience.

A specific fear typically has grounds, but when it's general, that's more often someone's extrapolative engine going off the rails. So any activity that channels extrapolation into a constructive direction helps. Writing, solving puzzles, reading mysteries, doing escape rooms, whatever floats your boat.
